Join the Dayton Branch Library for our Play to Learn Program! This program is designed to get 2-5 year olds moving and exploring through play. The program focuses on sensory activities to help foster children's cognitive development and motor skills. Things can get messy so dress children accordingly, or bring a large t-shirt or apron to cover their clothing. **Ages outside the age group are welcome to attend. Please be advised that there are times where the activity is not taste safe and might involve items that could pose a choking hazard.

Joyce will read from her book, Close to the Land, discuss her writing process, and talk about gathering stories from her family members. Stories and poems cover the period from 1917 to 1987. Newcomers to the valley and anyone interested in Smith Valley history will find much to learn and discuss. Refreshments will be provided. Signed copies will be available for purchase.
