SUBJECT: Change in Library Hours of Operation

The following hours of operation have been established by the Board of Trustees of the Lyon County Library for the library branches in FY2014. The new hours are effective Saturday, June 1, 2014.

Central (Yerington) Branch Library:
Tuesday, Wednesday 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Saturday 11:00 am – 4:00 pm

Dayton Valley Branch Library:
Tuesday, Thursday 11:00 am – 4:00 pm
Wednesday 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Fernley Branch Library
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Silver Springs Branch Library
Thursday, Friday, Saturday 11:00 am – 4:00 pm

Smith Valley Branch Library
Wednesday, Thursday 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Please note that unplanned and sudden absences (such as emergency sick leave), will result in the closure of branches with little or no notice due to the lack of staff for short-notice coverage.

These new hours were approved based on the expressed desires of the County Commissioners to keep all branches operational as well as in response to the voiced opinions of the residents of Lyon County to retain library services in their specific communities.
