The Board of County Commissioners addressed the issue of the Library budget for FY14. The Board unanimously approved the Library budget as presented in the Tentative Budget. Libraries will remain open the Library Board will now go to work to establish hours of operation and staffing levels for each branch.

May 2, 2013 @ 6:30 PM The Board of County Commissioners met with the four Fire Protection Districts to address providing Fire/EMS services to areas of Lyon County that are not protected by a Fire Protection District.

The short term solution was to develop an Interlocal Agreement between the County and the Fire Protection Districts for response and begin developing a long term solution of a possible fifth fire district or consolidation of general county areas into existing fire districts.

The Board approved all requested Special Use permit applications and Village Center Mixed Use applications.
