In 2011 and 2012 Lyon County completed energy efficiency modifications to a number of County owned buildings. Lyon County Buildings and Grounds provided two examples of costs savings realized by the modifications:

Dayton Community Center-FY11 the cost to heat and cool the building was $7112.00 and this year the cost will be $3112.00 a $4000.00 savings

Mason Town Hall - FY11 the costs to heat and cool the building were $2462 and this year the cost will be $1463 a savings of almost $1000.00.

Lyon County is working hard to reduce our costs and expenses. Thanks to the Buildings and Ground personnel for their vigilance in being more efficient.
