The upcoming holidays, flu season and winter weather accidents increase hospital usage throughout the region. COVID is one more ailment that crowds our regional hospitals. Please consider the risks of spreading COVID and the flu and the impact that has on our regional hospitals. Keep in mind that our FIRE/EMS agencies in Central Lyon and North Lyon transport all patients to Reno and Carson area hospitals for treatment of injuries and illnesses. COVID and Flu admissions increase hospital usage and reduce the beds available. We can help by following these simple CDC recommendations and keep the spread of COVID and the Flu down thus reducing the impact to our hospitals.
