Join the Dayton Branch Library for our Play to Learn Program! This program is designed to get 2-5 year olds moving and exploring through play. The program focuses on sensory activities to help foster children's cognitive development and motor skills. Things can get messy so dress children accordingly, or bring a large t-shirt or apron to cover their clothing. **Ages outside the age group are welcome to attend. Please be advised that there are times where the activity is not taste safe and might involve items that could pose a choking hazard.
Carlos Ocampo and Julie Lozada Ocampo of Kantu Inka will bring Peruvian culture alive with music and an introduction to traditional instruments of the Andes such as Zamponas, quenas, charangos, bombos, chacchas, and cajon. For more information contact Quest at Healthy Communities Coalition at quest@hcclsc.org This activity is made possible by a grant provided by the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies in partnership with E.A. Michelson Philanthropy and supported in part by the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. Additional support comes from Healthy Communities Coalition of Lyon and Storey Counties and the Dayton Branch Library.
