Hazards can happen at any time, regardless of season, date or time. In recent years, Lyon County has endured the impacts of a variety of hazards‐turned disasters. Lyon County and regional partners identified potential hazards and mitigation strategies to reduce the impacts of future disasters in the current Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan.

Lyon County is currently requesting public feedback on the draft 2023 Lyon County Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan. Please provide all feedback on the regional plan to Taylor Allison, Lyon County Emergency Manager, in writing by emailing tallison@lyon-county.org or mailing to 34 Lakes Blvd., Dayton, Nevada, 89403. Public comments will be accepted through Friday, December 8, 2023 at 5:00pm.
