To adopt an animal from Lyon County Animal Services you must complete an adoption contract with our office.

The adoption fees are $20.00 and if the animal is 4 months of age or younger a refundable deposit is required.

The deposit is $10.00 for the rabies shot and $50.00 for the sterilization for a total of $60.00.

The deposit will be refunded to you once we receive proof from a licensed Veterinarian that the animal has been sterilized and has received a rabies vaccination provided you complete it in the time allowed on the contract.

There are special requirements for anyone adopting a "Pitt Bull".  Please contact our office for specific requirements.
